Pedestrian struck and killed by lorry in Dewsbury was OAP from Wakefield

Harry Baldwin, 78, from Wakefield, suffered fatal injuries when he was involved in collision with a gold coloured DAF heavy goods vehicle on Quarry Lane at its junction with the A653 Leeds Road just after 2,30pm on Friday January 8.

Mr Baldwin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, who has not already come forward, is urged to contact West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101.
