Pensioner in '˜serious' condition after Doncaster collision

AN 80-year-old man is is a serious but stable condition in hospital after he was involved in a collision with another car in Doncaster.

The pensioner was driving a blue Kia and turning right out of South Avenue in the Bawtry area when it was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Focus travelling along Great North Road at about 2.30pm on Saturday.

Two women, aged 77 and 55, who were passengers inside the Kia, and the 24-year-old male driver of the Ford were all also taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Witnesses should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 645 of 13 February 2016.
