Jono Wilson has temporarily closed JJ's Tyres, the garage he ran with Jack Nunn, after the young tyre fitter and girlfriend Hannah Elsworth, 21, were killed when their Audi A5 crashed into a tree on Huddersfield Road in Barnsley in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The accident happened at around 1.30am, just yards from former Holgate School pupil Jack's home.

My heartfelt condolences go to both families. We are all in complete shock and absolutely devastated. Rest in peace brother."

Hannah is thought to have been a nurse at Barnsley Hospital.

A large number of customers who knew Jack posted on the JJ's Tyres business page to express their sadness at his death.

Adrian Edwards wrote: "It was a pleasure to meet Jack whenever I called for new tyres. He was a great lad, always chatty and always with a smile on his face. I'm shocked about this sad news. My condolences go out to both families."

"The 25-year-old man who was driving the car, and a 21-year-old woman who was a passenger - both from Barnsley - were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Their families are being supported by our specially trained officers.
