Bus skids on ice and crashes through garden of Bingley home

A West Yorkshire woman thought her car had been hit in the icy conditions outside her home - only to go outside and discover a bus had ploughed through her garden wall.

Mandy Rutter, who lives in Bingley, heard a loud bang shortly after waking up this morning.

Her partner went to the door, looked outside and discovered a large single decker First Bus had crashed through her garden wall.

"I said to my partner my car has probably been hit .

"He went to the door, looked outside, and said no, there is a bus in your garden.

"I thought 'right, I have been expecting that'."

The bus - which is currently teetering on the edge of Mandy's garden - has 'no service' showing on an LED screen.
