Candidates will be invited to an assessment day which will consist of team-based tasks and one-on-one interviews.

The scheme marks the first time Channel Four have taken on a cohort of apprentices for up to two years, although it is not clear how many will be offered a permanent position afterwards.

Each apprentice will spend between 14 and 24 months with one department, and will gain a qualification in a related subject.

According to Channel Four, 'you’ll learn who’s who, what’s what and where your department sits in the overall scheme of things. A range of in-depth projects will immerse you in the detail and count towards your qualification. We’re not looking for specific qualifications, but you will need to impress us with your passion for your chosen area and have the potential to stand out from the crowd.'

Candidates with a declared disability are guaranteed an interview.
