Paul Chuckle looking for cartoonists to continue legacy of The Chuckle Brothers

That is the request being made by Paul Chuckle - who is eager to continue their legacy with a new cartoon due to public demand.

Paul has remained in demand for pantomimes and personal appearances since his brother's sad death in August 2018.

Now, The Chuckle Brothers are coming back in cartoon, animation and book forms.

"The Chuckle Brothers have lived on," said Paul. "It is quite overwhelming really because I constantly get lots of lovely messages, thousands of social media followers and I get stopped in the street all the time - social distancing considered.

"Actually, if Barry was here he would think social distancing was a kind of dance.

"A lot of people grew up with us and have children and even grandchildren of their own and have asked if there is anyway that we can do something to get the Chuckle Brothers going again.

"Well, we can't bring Barry back - I wish we could - but we are going to be doing all our daft things in a different way.

"Especially during this Covid-19 pandemic I have had loads of people saying that they wish we were still on the telly to entertain the kids.

"So do I and that's why we are doing something about it."

Paul Chuckle has now requested for potential cartoonists who would suit the role of drawing the brothers to get in touch.

He added: "We need someone or maybe two or three who can really draw The Chuckle Brothers as we were.

"Chucklesworld is taking care of things but first of all, if anyone wants to send us their illustrations, our good friends at Mighty Pens Ltd has agreed to accept all the examples so please send to them and I promise I will personally see every one of them.

"This is not a competition, we are looking for talented people who can help The Chuckle Brothers give people laughter again.

"Oh yes - and no slacking!"
