It was only last week that North Yorkshire Police said they believed they had traced her family.

They have now confirmed that a body believed to be hers was found at Naburn Lock this morning (November 26).

She has not been named.

A statement from North Yorkshire Police read:

“Sadly, a body was recovered from Naburn Lock this morning. The family of a woman, who went missing on 30 October in York, have been informed and are being supported by officers.

“Our thoughts are with them at this time.”

A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
