Creative agency Rise at Seven is offering work placements to people who don't feel like they are getting their money's worth at university.

Students are currently attending lessons online due to the Covid-19 pandemic and many students in Leeds have expressed frustration that their studies have been negatively impacted by the lack of face-to-face teaching.

They also raised concerns about paying for accommodation that they are not using and subsequently many universities in Leeds have chosen to offer rent refunds.

Sheffield based Rise at Seven said it will refund the any first-term rent accommodation for students who leave university to work for them.

The company founder and chief executive Carrie Rose said: "I am a firm believer that the University experience is transformative, but in a world where the lifestyle, friendships and opportunities of Uni are limited - why not offer young talent the chance to learn on the job?

"Right now, students find themselves paying rent for rooms they can’t use, learning remotely or shut in their accommodation - they didn’t sign up for this.

"We want to offer them an opportunity to take a break from University and join a global agency which prides itself on hiring the most enthusiastic, hungry and creative individuals to work on some of the world’s biggest brands.

"And if they fancy going back to Uni afterwards, we will help them get there through our connections with Uni's across the country."

The company is looking for students to take on roles in PR, content, creative, data and marketing.

They can work in the London or Sheffield offices or work completely remotely.

Company perks include; unlimited holidays, regular socials, a modern office complete with bar and slide and the opportunity for progression and development.

Clients include companies such as PrettyLittleThing, GAME, Odeon, Playstation, Made.com and House of Fraser.

Carrie Rose, 27, said: "Have you heard of the young teenager that made Woolworths go viral in a stunt to make everyone believe it was coming back? We've just hired him.

"He is a college student who decided against his university path (for now) and has instead taken the opportunity to join us and we’re so excited to welcome more amazing new talent to our team.
