Yorkshire coronavirus total rises to 30 as first case confirmed in East Riding

A total of 30 people in Yorkshire have tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Friday, officials have confirmed.

It's a rise of three cases from the same point on Thursday.

One new case has been confirmed in York, one in Bradford and the first case in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

There have been no new cases confirmed in Leeds.

The Department of Health does not comment on the exact location of individual cases and the actual number of people infected is expected to be much higher.

Leeds - seven cases

York - four cases

Bradford - four cases

North Yorkshire - four cases

Sheffield - three cases

Barnsley - two cases

Calderdale - two case

Hull - one case

East Riding of Yorkshire - one case

Rotherham - one case

Kirklees - one case

There are no confirmed cases in Wakefield or Doncaster as of 9am on Wednesday.
