Photographer opens doors to all who see life through lens

RENOWNED landscape photographer Joe Cornish is launching a new exhibition at his North Yorkshire gallery to showcase the work of both amateurs and professionals.

The inaugural Photography and Video Summer Open Exhibition will be staged at Register House Gallery on Zetland Street in Northallerton this summer.

Entry is open to everyone to submit their work for exhibition whether amateurs or professionals, experts or beginners. All photographic and video works will be accepted for submission including prints, photographic collage and video art.

Entries will be judged by a panel which will include Mr Cornish and the selected works will be displayed in the exhibition in the House Gallery at Register House throughout July and August.

A gallery spokesman said: “This is an new opportunity for budding and experienced photographers and video artists alike to have their work displayed in the beautiful gallery of one of the UK’s leading landscape photographers.”

The competition will have two categories – one for juniors aged between 16 and 20-year-olds and another for adults aged 21 and over. There will be a non-refundable charge of £5 per work in the junior competition and £15 per work in the adult category.
