It contains a wealth of heritage and sites of natural interest, but is often overlooked by tourists.

The North Isle Partnership Tourism Group is organising the competition, which it hopes will illustrate some of the area’s most interesting features, including Crowle Moors – part of the largest area of raised bog wilderness in lowland Britain – and the Crowle Stone, a rare Saxon cross shaft with a runic inscription, possibly dating from the 8th century.

The partnership is made up of local residents, groups and the business community, but contributors to from a wider geographical area may be included if a project would benefit.

The closing date for entries is May 31 and winners will be announced at the 113th Crowle Show in June.
