Ping pong star’s open challenge for charity

A TALENTED young table tennis player from Yorkshire is challenging all-comers to give her a game at a charity fund-raising event.

Imogen Barber, of Cottingham, near Hull, who plays for Yorkshire at under-15 level, was recently diagnosed with epilepsy but will be back in action for a table tennis-athon to raise money for charities supporting people with the condition from noon-4pm on Sunday at Holtby Gardens in Cottingham.

Her father Frank said: “Imogen remains committed to table tennis despite being diagnosed with epilepsy and is not going to let the condition hold her back. She’s back in action following a break from training and is looking forward to the challenge of the table tennis-athon.”
