Pocket-size puppy finds a toy that measures up

A tiny dog has finally found the perfect pint-sized playmates after becoming the face of a children's toy.

Toy manufacturer Tomy have enlisted the help of Lulu, a 10-week-old chihuahua who measures just four inches, as the face of their Micro Pets-i campaign.

Micro Pets-i, which have arrived in the UK in their thousands from Japan, are the newest version of the toy craze for tiny pets. The palm-sized creatures are available in nine varieties, including miniature cats, dogs and bears. They move, talk and sing, using the latest innovations in micro technology to respond to a child's hand movements.

Little Lulu, who hit the headlines when she stopped growing, instantly hit it off with her fellow Micro Pets-i when she came face-to-face with the new toys.

Lulu's owner Jean Tindall, 76, from Bradford, said: “The toys are fantastic, Lulu seems to love playing with them already.”
