A dog has bitten a nine-year-old boy in Beverley.

Police are today appealing for information after the bite occurred at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, July 12.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: "The boy was walking with some friends along the footpath off Chester Avenue when he was bitten by a black Labrador cross.

"The dog owner was described as being in his late 40s with grey hair, he was wearing a blue shirt and trousers."

The dog's owner, or anyone information,is asked to call 101 quoting log 473.
