Police appeal after man injured in Withernsea road crash

Humberside Police said it happened on Queen Street in Withernsea, near Hull, in the early hours of this morning.

The road was closed as emergency services rush to the scene of the accident just after midnight.

The man was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary, where his injures are not life-threatening.

A police spokesperson said: "We are currently undertaking a number of enquiries to identify the vehicle, including who was travelling in it when it was involved in the incident, as it did not stop at the scene."
