Police appeal over rugby league fan left in coma

An appeal to rugby supporters for help in catching the men whose assault left a Halifax fan in a coma was made by Cheshire police in Wakefield yesterday.

David Singer, 32, was returning to his coach after the game against Featherstone Rovers in Warrington on the evening of Sunday, September 26 when he was attacked.

Police urged anyone subjected to aggression by a small group of Featherstone supporters to come forward.
