Police appeal over sexual assault of girl, 14, in Rotherham

Police investigating a sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Rotherham are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

It was reported that around 8.15am on Monday, May 15, when then girl was walking through Kendall woods off Woodsetts Road, North Anston, an unknown man e sexually assaulted her.

It is believed that a passing member of the public may have disturbed the man who then ran from the scene.

The girl, who was not injured, is receiving support from specially trained officers and an investigation is underway. There will be an increased police presence to provide reassurance.

The suspect is described as being white, over 20-years-old, with a brown beard. He was reportedly wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black hooded top, and is believed to be quite tall and thin.
