Some went on to carry out raids at various addresses, while others manned community stalls offering crime prevention advice and listening to the concerns of residents.

Superintendent Bob Chapman said "We've already had some really positive results from the operation so far and this work will continue throughout today.

"We've executed four warrants and recovered quantities of what we believe to be Class A drugs, as well as arresting 20 people for a range of offences.

"This is a great start to the day and I'm grateful to everyone involved, and to our local communities, for supporting this operation."
