The 27-year-old man from Leeds was arrested by British Transport Police yesterday over the incident, which took place on August 27 on board the Kings Cross to Harrogate service.

The arrest comes after a public appeal to trace the man.

He has been interviewed by officers and released on police bail pending further enquiries until September 23.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “[We] would like to thank the media for publicising this appeal and members of the public who came forward with information in relation to this incident.”
