Police catch five drink-drivers

FIVE motorists were pulled over for drink-driving on Saturday night - just before the start of a new multi-agency alcohol awareness campaign.

They included a 25-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, both from Hull, who were pulled over separately, in Cottingham, in the early hours of Saturday, a 34-year-old Bridlington woman, who was stopped on Dog and Duck Lane, Beverley, and a 53-year-old Selby woman who was breath-tested after her car was seen to swerve across Ilkeston Avenue in Goole.

All gave positive breath tests.

A fifth driver, a 31-year-old Bridlington man refused a road-side breath test at 5am on Saturday morning, after his car ended up in a ditch on Meaux Road, Wawne. He failed a test in custody.
