Police charge 15 after Huddersfield-Millwall violence

TWELVE men and three youths from Huddersfield have been charged with football disorder offences arising from an incident that broke out after a clash with Millwall last April.

Shortly after the game at Huddersfield Town's Galpharm stadium, which visitors Millwall lost 1-0, violence erupted between fans at Wakefield Road in the Waterloo area of Huddersfield.

A further six men from London have also been charged.

All 21 men and youths will appear before magistrates on two separate dates in June.

Charges include violent disorder, assisting offenders, affray, possessing an offensive weapon and breach of a football banning order.

Kirklees Det Insp Jim Griffiths said: "I would like to thank the local media and also members of the public who have assisted us in identifying those responsible."

The 12 men and three youths from Huddersfield will appear before magistrates on June 30. They are: Gerrard Bradshaw, 36, charged with violent disorder; Kieran Moore, 19, charged with violent disorder; Andrew Hunt, 25, charged with violent disorder; Jake Peel, 21, charged with violent disorder; Oliver Dyson, 19, charged with violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon; Andrew Miller, 37, charged with violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon; Jeremy McDonald, 43, charged with violent disorder; Conrad Ayscough, 43, charged with violent disorder; Danny Melia, 25, charged with violent disorder; Nicholas Palfreeman, 41, charged with assisting offenders; Leon Stephenson, 29, charged with violent disorder; Lee Donaghue, 38, charged with violent disorder; a 14-year-old is charged with violent disorder; a 17-year-old with affray; and another 17-year-old with violent disorder.

The six men from London will appear before magistrates on June 23. They are: William Myers, 51, charged with violent disorder; Glen Sherman, 35, charged with violent disorder; Grant Mason, 42, charged with violent disorder; Ryan McDougal, 31, charged with violent disorder; Ojay Roynon, 30, charged with violent disorder and breach of football banning order; and, Paul Cremin, 36, charged with violent disorder.
