Police charge youth with stab murder

A teenager has been charged with the murder of a youth found dying in the road.

Cody Turner, 17, was discovered by police on Thursday night.

He died following a disturbance at a house nearby on Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, Lancashire.

A post-mortem examination concluded he died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Yesterday morning Greater Manchester Police charged a 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, with murder.

He will appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court today.

A 34-year-old woman and two men aged 18 who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been bailed pending further inquiries.
