Police chief in plea ahead of EDL protests in Dewsbury

KIRKLEES police and council are urging people to help minimise disruption by demonstrations due to take place in Dewsbury town centre on Saturday.

The English Defence League, United Against Fascism and the Trade Union Council are set to hold protests in the town.

Chief Superintendent David Lunn, Commander of Kirklees Police, urged local people who are not taking part in the demonstrations to avoid them.
