Police hunt men after armed robbery

Police are hunting three men after robbers armed with a sawn-off shotgun and wooden sticks stole cash from a pub in Bradford.

The masked robbers entered the Holmewood Bound Pub, in Holmewood, at around 9.35am on Monday and stole the weekend's takings from a female member of staff.

The men made off in a black Audi A4 estate car, which had been stolen from Lancashire and was later found burned out on Heyback Walk, in Holmewood.

West Yorkshire Police said two of the suspects were carrying wooden sticks and the third was carrying what was believed to be a sawn-off shotgun.

All three were believed to be male and were wearing balaclavas. The female employee was left shaken by the robbery.

Detective Inspector Ian Bryar, of Bradford South CID, said: "We will not tolerate people carrying guns and would urge anyone with any information about the suspects to contact us."
