POLICE have named two suspected fraudsters who are on the run as a nationwide hunt is intensified.

John Bush, 33, and Lyndsay Hughes, 25, both originally from Doncaster, are wanted in connection with a series of frauds involving accommodation and hire cars across North Yorkshire.

The offences happened in Selby, York, Thirsk and the Malton area during January and February.

North Yorkshire Police made a nationwide appeal yesterday as officers believe more offences could have been committed in other parts of the UK.

A police spokesman confirmed that the suspected offenders have yet to be tracked down despite extensive inquiries.
