Police 'increasingly concerned' for teenager missing from home for a week

POLICE are in Doncaster are concerned about a 16-year-old boy who has been missing from home since last Thursday.

Superintendent Colin McFarlane of Doncaster Police is urging anyone who has seen or heard from Hong Quang Nguyen to contact police.

Supt McFarlane, said: “As time goes on we are becoming increasingly concerned for Hong’s welfare and would really like to speak to anyone who has seen or heard from him since he was reported missing last Thursday March 9.

“Hong doesn’t speak English and was last seen in Doncaster town centre at about 2pm. Since he was reported missing, officers have conducted numerous enquiries in the area, however we also believe he may have travelled outside of South Yorkshire.

“We know he has connections in Scotland and would ask anyone who thinks they may have seen Hong to contact us so we can ensure his wellbeing.”

Hong was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white and grey shirt, blue jeans and blue Adidas trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 785 of 9 March 2017.
