Police inquiry over stick threat to dog walker Cipsam

A POLICE investigation has been launched after a woman was threatened by a man who was walking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in North Yorkshire.

The woman was walking her own two dogs on the playing fields next to Hambleton Leisure Centre in Northallerton when she became embroiled in an argument with the man who was with the brown and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He threatened her with a large stick after an issue between their dogs.

The woman was not injured but was left “very shaken” by the incident, according to a North Yorkshire Police spokesman.

The man is described as white, aged about 20, 5ft 6ins, skinny with short dark hair. He was with a woman who was riding a bike at the time of the row.

The argument happened at about 1.30pm on Monday, but the North Yorkshire force only released details yesterday.
