Police investigate possible links between raids of businesses in Sheffield

Detectives in Sheffeld are looking for possible links between five break-ins where businesses were targeted over the weekend.

Damon's restaurant on Sevenairs Road, Beighton, was broken into along with two veterinary practices at Crystal Peaks and on Birley Moor Road, Birley Moor.

A convenience store on Birley Moor Road and another in Beighton were also targeted.

Inspector Jason Booth, of the South East Sheffield local policing team, said: "Over the weekend we had five business premises attacked in the early hours by what appears to have been some form of implement to smash the glass - mostly in the doors.

"There has not been an ongoing trend over recent weeks until these five offences, which may or may not be linked.

"We are completing a number of enquiries, including CCTV, but we are keen to hear for anyone with any information.

"We would business owners to ensure alarms are set and cash is removed or left secure within any premises."
