Police issue image of man who attacked dog walker in York

Police investigating an attack on a dog walker in York have released an e-fit image of the suspect.

The man called out to the walked along a path on Strensall Common, close to the golf course, on the afternoon of February 26.

It worried the woman, who turned to walk back the way she had come.

The same man then jumped out in front of her a bit further along the path and grabbed the skin on her neck, painfully twisting it.

He kicked the woman's dog when it bit his leg and then shouted at the woman before he was bitten a second time.

The suspect is as white and fat, with a chubby face and dark, greying facial hair which was longer than stubble but not a beard. He was aged in his 50s and smelt of urine.

He was wearing a dirty, orange, zip-up raincoat with a logo on it and dirty, dark green water-proof trousers with zips at the knees so they could be worn as shorts.
