Police name Bradford man killed in stabbing

Police have named the man who died after he was stabbed in a disturbance in Bradford as 35-year-old Sarfraz Khan.

Mr Khan, of Great Horton, Bradford, died in hospital shortly after he was stabbed in the incident in Cecil Avenue, which occurred at about 10.15pm on Thursday.

A post mortem examination revealed that he died from a stab wound to his chest.

Seven men aged between 19-38 remain in police custody today after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 32-year-old man who was also stabbed in the incident remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, which is believed to be linked to a family dispute. Their enquiries are continuing.
