Police in new appeal over fireball crash tragedy
A van driver killed in a fireball crash on the A64 near Tadcaster was named by North Yorkshire Police yesterday.
James Winter, 43, from Crossgates in Leeds, was at the wheel of a red Citroen Berlingo when the crash happened on Monday. Police have renewed appeals for witnesses to the accident – which also involved a grey BMW 320 – on the eastbound carriageway, just past the A162 on-slip, at 7.50am.
