Police probe ‘drugs link’ to village death

The 24-year-old, who has not been named, was found at a property in Hillside Road, Low Bentham, at 11.55pm on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Det Insp Maria Taylor, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “The investigation into the man’s death is at a very early stage and we have not yet established what caused his death.

“However, until we have the full picture, I would urge people who use drugs to exercise caution and make sure they know what they are taking. If you are taking drugs you wouldn’t normally use, or are buying from a different dealer, you could be putting your life in danger.”
