Police quiz man over death crash
A 21-year-old man was still being questioned last night after a car plunged down an embankment into a lake, killing two teenagers.
Anwen Busby, 16, and Jai Burkes, 19, died in the crash on the A44 at Ponterwyd, near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, in the early hours of yesterday.
Two other 16-year-old girls, injured in the crash, were cut free from the wreckage of the car which ended up in four feet of water. They were named on Facebook yesterday as Charlotte Tourle and Amy Valentine.
Both were taken to Bronglaid Hospital in Aberystwyth after the accident.
A fifth person, believed to be the driver, managed to escape from the car before rescuers arrived.
