Police quiz schoolboys over sex attack

The boys – who are said to be all under the age of consent – were arrested after the girl reported that she had been attacked in a wooded area near Acres Hill Lane in Darnall.

A police spokesman said: “Police have begun an investigation into an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a girl in the Darnall area of Sheffield. The alleged incident is believed to have taken place at around 4.50pm on Wednesday, November 30.

“Police want to reassure the public this is an isolated incident, officers were at the location within minutes of receiving the report.

“Three young males have been arrested in connection with this incident and they have all been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
