Police search for man who had baseball bat outside nightclub

Paramedics were approached by a man who said he had been attacked before leaving the area, at around 3.30am on Saturday outside the Lighthouse nightclub.

Police said no victim has come forward, but a bat was recovered from the area.

The suspect is described as white, of large build, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall, with short dark hair. He was wearing a checked shirt and a grey top.

Anyone with information, particularly the man who told ambulance crews he had been attacked, is asked to call 101, quoting log number 77 of February 11.
