Police seek cyclists after altercation in Hemingbrough ended in driver's car being damaged

Police are trying to trace two cyclists after an altercation in a village near Selby ended with a driver's car being damaged.

It happened when the cyclists and a woman in her 40s were travelling through Hemingbrough on July 13.

The woman, who was driving a silver car, was involved in an altercation with a male cyclist before damage was caused to her vehicle.

The other male cyclist was not involved in any offence, North Yorkshire Police said today.

Now officers want to trace the cyclists and speak to anyone who saw the incident, which happened in Main Street at around 6.20pm that evening.

A spokesman said: "Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking for anyone who can assist them to come forward."

The cyclists are both described as male and aged in their 50s.

One of the men was wearing a red top with black shorts and the other wearing a grey cycling top and black shorts.
