Police slam vandals after pram is thrown at train
British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information following the incident in Armley last week, which happened a day after youths were seen trespassing on the tracks.
Investigating officer Pc Steve Thackray said: “Throwing objects at trains is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous and could have resulted in a train driver being injured.”

Hide AdThe incident happened at 5pm on Thursday, May 16, as a York to Blackpool train service was travelling through the Armley Heights area. Almost exactly 24 hours earlier a driver reported seeing three youths on the line in the same area.
Pc Thackray said: “I cannot overstate just how dangerous trespassing on the railway is.”
