Police van overturns in Bradford city centre after collision with car

A police van has overturned after colliding with a car in Bradford city centre this morning.

Two West Yorkshire Police officers travelling in the van suffered minor injuries after their van collided with a black Audi A3 at the A650 junction with Leeds Road today at around 6.30am.

A 28-year-old man, who was being transported in the back of the van, was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

The Audi driver, a 43-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with a suspected shoulder injury.

Enquiries into the collision are continuing and the road has now reopened.
