Police warning over spate of vehicle thefts in Wakefield
POLICE are taking action to tackle criminals following a spate of thefts from vehicles in the Thornes area of Wakefield.
Neighbourhood Police who work in the district are focusing patrols on the Thornes area following a series of attacks on parked vehicles on the same morning. They are also speaking to residents in the area to alert them to the problem and issue crime prevention advice.
Police were called after four vehicles were attacked while left on Thornes Moor Road and Troon Way on Sunday morning.
Each of the vehicles had been left insecure and although only a small amount of cash was taken police are urging residents to be security conscious.
