Jaguar Land Rover pave way for Saudi deal

Motor giant Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) yesterday started moves which could lead to the company building cars in Saudi Arabia.

A letter of intent was signed with the Saudi Arabian government paving the way for a partnership.

Exploratory discussions about potential investment in Saudi Arabia follows JLR’s recent joint venture announcement with
Chery Automobile Company to manufacture vehicles at a new plant near Shanghai, China, and the separate expansion of the firm’s assembly plant at Pune, India. The Solihull, West Midlands, plant, pictured, has been home of the Land Rover brand for over 60 years.
