A decision is expected imminently on the £210m facility at Alexandra Dock to manufacture and assemble offshore wind turbines, creating 700 jobs and potentially supporting thousands of others. Council leader Steve Brady said: “Matt played a significant role bringing forward Green Port Hull and he knows what we need to achieve in the months and years to come.” Lib Dem group leader Coun Mike Ross said: “Our concern that the new arrangement would end up costing the taxpayer more has been borne out.”
