Port director lands £115,000 council role
Mr Jukes will step into the new role of chief operating officer at Hull Council on December 1, working alongside part-time chief executive Darryl Stephenson.
Before being made redundant in September, Mr Jukes led ABP’s efforts to develop Green Port Hull alongside the council and Siemens.

Council leader Steve Brady said: “Matt played a significant role bringing forward Green Port Hull and he knows what we need to achieve in the months and years to come.” Lib Dem group leader Coun Mike Ross said: “Our concern that the new arrangement would end up costing the taxpayer more has been borne out.”
