Syria vote: 10 members of Shadow Cabinet defy Jeremy Corbyn

It's emerged that 66 Labour MPs backed the Government's motion to begin bombing Daesh in Syria.

This includes ten members of the shadow cabinet including foreign secretary Hilary Benn, deputy Labour leader Tom Watson, shadow business minister Angela Eagle and shadow defence secretary Maria Eagle.

Also, shadow education secretary Lucy Powell, shadow culture secretary Michael Dugher, shadow health secretary Heidi Alexander, shadow Commons leader Chris Bryant, shadow secretary of state for Northern Ireland Vernon Coaker and shadow minister for young people Gloria De Piero.

Former acting leader Harriet Harman and former foreign secretary Margaret Beckett also join the list of MPs who weren't convinced by Jeremy Corbyn's campaign to stop military intervention. Former Labour cabinet member Alan Johnson, former Labour leadership candidate Liz Kendall, and former shadow front bencher Chuka Umunna also voted in favour of airstrikes

Yorkshire's Labour MPs who backed the Prime Minister were: Kevin Barron (Rother Valley), Yvette Cooper (Normanton, Pontefract & Castleford), Mary Creagh (Wakefield), Caroline Flint (Don Valley), Dan Jarvis (Barnsley Central), Alan Johnson (Hull West & Hessle), Angela Smith (Penistone & Stocksbridge) and Michael Dugher (Barnsley East).

The seven Tory rebels who voted against the motion were: John Baron (Basildon & Billericay), David Davis (Haltemprice & Howden), Gordon Henderson (Sittingbourne & Sheppey), Philip Hollobone (Kettering), Julian Lewis (New Forest East), Stephen McPartland (Stevenage) and Andrew Tyrie (Chichester).
