Tax bills to be re-issued
Council tax bills are to be re-issued in the Selby district following a mix-up.
Selby District Council said yesterday it will not take any direct debit payments during April, as it re-issues council tax bills.
It says a mistake has been discovered with the parish and town council precepts on a large number of bills and it has been realised some minor reductions need to be made for some areas.
The first direct debit will come out in May and will be for the normal monthly amount. For those paying over 10 months, this means the final payment will be next February rather than January.
