UKIP member ‘pushed’ at Bradford hustings event
A UKIP party member was allegedly physically and verbally assaulted immediately after a hustings at the Bradford Cathedral.
Owais Rajput, who is standing for election in Bradford East seat, was at the hustings to support his fellow UKIP candidate Harry Boota, who is contesting the Bradford West seat.
Mr Boota said: “We are deeply appalled and disgusted at the blatant attack against the UKIP candidate, who was singled out for this atrocious attack.”
West Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident.
