Brexit continues to dominate the election debate.

JEAN-Claude Juncker thinks that the English language is “losing importance” and is now postulating over the Brexit process in his native French.

No doubt he is encouraging other non-elected officials and the European Union states generally to embrace his example.

His latest brainwave means a majority of the EU population, who do not speak French but have English as their second language, will have no idea what he and his followers are saying.

Has he also overlooked the fact that English is the accepted international language for pilots and air traffic controllers potentially making the EU air space a no-go area?

ALTHOUGH I am 100 per cent in favour of Brexit and our country being out of the EU, I would very much like to see our PM, if
re-elected, going on a friendly tour of major European cities.

When Donald Trump was elected President, our PM was quick to pay him a visit. Fair enough, but I think we need to show ordinary Europeans how much we value their friendship and way of life. We are not turning our backs on Europe, we are only leaving the EU.
