IT comes as no great surprise to learn that many Muslims in Great Britain see our country as one of having low moral standards and that “one in six would prefer to live more separately” and that almost a quarter would like to see Sharia Law.

Nor am I surprised to learn that many Muslims are yet to set foot in the home of a non-Muslim. Over the years we as a nation have allowed this to happen under the banner of “multi-culturalism”.

That so many Muslims, British or otherwise, feel that they wish to live outside of our laws is to be considered a concern but behind the obvious is a sinister undertone that suggests that there are many living in our communities who would favour Sharia Law and thereby a two- tier legal system dependent on belief and/or location?

This cannot be allowed to develop, lest we risk the certainty of civil unrest and extremists of any denomination bringing mayhem to our streets in the name of religion. For once, I would ask that our elected MPs take note of what is happening all around us and be strong enough to react positively to retain what is left of British values and principles of fairness for all. I implore our representatives in Westminster to stand up for British laws and values.
