YP Letters: EU is causing the Brexit problems over trade

From: Jarvis Browning, Main Street, Fadmoor, York.

DEAL or no deal? Does it matter? All we voted for is out. What we would very much like to see happen is totally independent non-political interference from the EU, but keep an open trade which should enable us to import and export to other countries that want to trade with us.

Once this is unlocked, what’s to stop us trading with the EU? It’s not us, but the EU causing the problems for trade. Yet it still wants our money, security and prosperity.

HOW ironic that Dominic Raab has spent as much time negotiating face to face with the EU’s Michel Barnier than David Davis did in two years as Brexit Secretary.

I am afraid that the Haltemprice and Howden MP’s appointment in July 2016 is looking very ill-advised and I suspect he spent much of this time brooding over when to resign. This is not very
statesmanlike.

THERE is much talk about the worry of a no deal exit from the EU. Let us not forget they will want to sell us their products and will obviously want to trade with us.
