YP Letters: We must completely break with EU over Brexit to defeat corruption

WE need a complete break from the European Union and to comply with what was voted for, and that was the Common Market of Europe for the purpose of trade.

We have been railroaded into something that we did not vote for. It seems to me that what we have now is uncontrolled and yet very controlling.

We need to be in control of our own destiny once more, making our own rules and regulations that work for the good of all. We need to build on getting rid of corruption within our society that has been prevalent for far too long.

No one group or individual must be above the laws of the land that apply to the rest of us.

I DON’T do New Year resolutions any more. I do hopes instead, my main hope is that leaving the EU was a good choice. I think it will be.

I hope that our Government and the British public will support our hard working farmers and family butchers by buying their produce so as to make sure that they receive a fair monetary return for their endeavours. They earn it, they deserve it.

I WAS always under the impression that those learned members of the diplomatic service, who had the honour to be chosen to represent our nation abroad, were supposed to be politically impartial.

Whether a ”leaver” or a “remainer” in the referendum, the outgoing EU ambassador should have supported the democratic decision of the electorate and stood by the result. I am sick and tired of those who “lost the toss”. I think Mrs May is doing a good job.
