WHEN he was the Leader of HM Opposition, David Cameron proclaimed himself “the heir to Blair”. How prophetic in his dealings on behalf of the UK with the European Union.

Would anyone trust this self acclaimed “heir to Blair”. Either of them? The sovereignty of the United Kingdom is essentially so much more important than the EU deals of a transitory political UK Prime Minister, regardless of party.

GREATER intellects than
mine have taken issue with Hilary Benn and others who claimed that the EU has been responsible for keeping the peace in Europe, pointing rather to Nato’s role and, I would add, particularly the USA’s involvement.

Having said that, I would save the trillions it costs and scrap it as I can’t believe that even Donald Trump would ever hit the red button.

AFTER a fake EU “renegotiation”, insincere ex-Carlton Television PR man, David Cameron, tries to fool us by manufacturing a non existent “victory” with his “reformed” Europe.

The alternative to independence is to remain in an unstable, undemocratic and declining political union with a failing currency and social unrest. It will be a sad day for
this country if we do not vote to leave.

THE team to remain in the EU are telling lies and raising false fears. The Prime Minister was returned at the last General Election to give sovereignty back to the UK before a referendum.

He has failed, like Chamberlain after Munich, and offers the British people who gave Europe their freedom nothing. After spending £506bn on this failed European project, let us once again become free and in charge of our own destiny.

JOHN Major’s worst decision was recommending Neil Kinnock to be an European commissioner (Tom Richmond, The Yorkshire Post, February 20). He is unlikely to be anti-Europe with the size of his and his wife’s pension pot.

AS Communism caused the Berlin Wall to collapse, so the euro will cause the EU to collapse!
