Poll hopefuls to appear in debate

A TORY MP and prospective Parliamentarians will be appearing in a Question Time-style debate on business and the environment this week.

Tory Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart, Denis Healy, the Lib Dem trying to wrest the Hull North seat from Labour MP Diana Johnson and Karl Turner who will be standing as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Labour for Hull East in the election following John Prescott’s decision to step down, will be appearing at the Humber Environment Network Hustings.

Dr David Calvert from the Network said: “Members thought it would be a good idea to see what prospective candidates had in mind for businesses and the environment if they were elected.”

Also appearing will be the Lib Dem PPC for East Yorkshire Robert Adamson, Green PPC for Hull North Martin Deane and Green PPC for Haltemprice and Howden Shan Oakes.

The event, being organised by the network, is being held between 4pm and 6.30pm at Hull Truck Theatre. The event is open to any business in Hull and the Humber. To register visit the website at http://www.humberenvironmentalnetwork.co.uk
